government links and why you should bookmark them

These pages are free to visit, some (like the congress page) you can even start your own account to keep informed on what congress is doing. You can even use these pages to get more involved in what your representatives are doing. The first three words of the constitution are “we the people” for a reason. The less involved we are in what they are doing, the more our representative democracy slowly turns into a form of autocracy. Now more than ever it is important to be informed, if not also involved, in what the truth of what is happening in the government. We have a representative democracy which means that the leaders are elected to uphold the will of the people, not to manipulate the outcomes they don’t like in order to appease special interest groups and the 1%. I urge anyone to get involved, but if you can’t – at least get informed. Remember also that getting informed does not include taking opinions or misleading edited videos on Tik Tok, don’t get me wrong I think Tik Tok is great when I want to watch cat videos which I love, but I would rather get important information from a more credible source. There is information out there, if you are willing to find it and not just let propaganda networks like Fox tell you what you should believe. If Fox was truly “fair and balanced” then they wouldn’t be currently involved in billions of dollars worth of defamation suits (that they are totally losing to by the way). Please consider taking some time to get involved in local and federal government. The best way to change the world is just start changing it. Maybe it won’t happen in a day, but if we never do anything it will never change right?

“Democracy is a process, not a static condition. It is becoming, rather than being. It can easily be lost, but never is fully won. Its essence is eternal struggle.”
