That time SLCPD robbed the whole community and no one said a word…

In another blog entry I talked about how the Salt Lake City Police committed an armed robbery against me that caused me to lose my job, and since they stole my birth certificate, driver’s license and social security card it was very hard to get another job right away.  But one thing that I didn’t really go into then was the reason they robbed me to begin with.

You see that week there was a huge giveaway called “Project Homeless Connect” and I was not the only one robbed that week directly after that event.  You see, the community donated thousands of dollars worth of supplies to all the homeless people who attended the event.  And then literally starting the day after, the police and the health department drove around and collected all those supplies that generous people donated and loaded them into trucks and left all the people that needed those supplies to survive to die in the cold.

One of the reasons that they had that event is because that was an especially cold winter and they were afraid that people would freeze to death, and thanks to the blatant corruption and discrimination of the Salt Lake City Police a lot of people did die that year.  It makes me so sick that no one ever acknowledged that.  The police literally stole thousands of dollars worth of donations that were collected from the community, and no one ever said a word about it.  If I was one of the people who donated my hard-earned money to that event so that the homeless would have supplies needed to survive, I would be so pissed to know that the police literally didn’t even wait a full 24 hours before driving around with trucks and stealing all those supplies from the people who needed them to survive.

They are not just guilty of theft in my opinion, they are guilty of murder too.  I wish that I had my friends that were killed by the police back.  But I am going to do the next best thing, I am going to spend the rest of my life calling out the corruption of the Salt Lake City Police until more people know exactly what they did in 2019 as a direct response to Project Homeless Connect.

The crimes of the Salt Lake City Police need to get more attention.  They are operating like a mafia and the danger that poses to the community cannot be understated.  More people need to know what they are doing and that it isn’t just something that affects the homeless, all people are in danger when a police department is allowed to commit crimes with impunity.

I don’t want to fight the police, and I don’t think that people should hate the police, and I definitely don’t support violence, mainly because that’s their thing, but I think that they should be doing better.  When you are doing things that are dangerous and threatening the lives of people who are already vulnerable just because you can get away with it then that is cruel and unusual punishment and last time I checked America pretends to be against that.
